Lizzie joined the team in July 2017 as a Research Assistant. She currently works on the Macmillan funded Comprehensive Patient Records project. Specifically, Lizzie works on Workstream Five of the project which aims to investigate patient reported outcome measures, for example quality of life, amongst cancer survivors and matched controls. The questionnaire data will then be linked to primary and secondary care records.

Prior to joining the University of Leeds, Lizzie completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Hull. Subsequently, she completed a PhD funded by the MTough research group at the University of Lincoln. The work, entitled mental toughness and health related lifestyle factors, investigated the influence of mental toughness on one’s ability to lose weight and practice healthy lifestyle behaviours.
