Welcome to the Section for Patient Centred Outcomes Research (PCOR, formerly known as POG)
The Patient Centred Outcomes Research Group is part of the University of Leeds, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Leeds Institute of Medical Research. We are based at St James’s Institute of Oncology, Leeds, UK. We undertake applied healthcare research aimed at improving cancer patients’ quality of life.
Many of our current studies involve developing and evaluating web based systems for cancer patients to report information about their health and wellbeing. We are also interested in how such systems can offer personalised information depending on patients’ different and changing needs.
We work closely with patients, as well as clinical and academic colleagues locally, nationally and internationally to ensure the work we do has high potential for clinical translation, an impact on healthcare services and patients’ wellbeing.
